I have been practising Iyengar yoga since 2010 and qualified as a teacher in 2016. I was drawn to Iyengar yoga after my very first class when the emphasis on alignment helped to stretch areas of my body that had been tight and inflexible leading to a feeling of relaxation and well being at the end of the class.
I was so inspired that I went to India for 2 months in 2013 to do yoga at the Iyengar centre in Mumbai. This experience led me to want to teach yoga and pass on the benefits to other people so I started the teacher training in 2014.
I was a horse riding instructor for 10 years in my twenties and found that the teaching experience and eye for the physical body that I had developed helped me greatly when I began teaching Iyengar yoga.
